NATIONAL DIRECTOR
Message from the National Director
National Director of Miss Universe Cayman Islands, Derri Lee
This year, we are proud to support T21, a platform dedicated to promoting inclusion, acceptance, and opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome and differing abilities. Through awareness, education, and advocacy, T21 reminds us that every individual deserves to be valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. We are honoured to use our platform to help amplify this important message.
I extend my sincere gratitude to our dedicated coaches, mentors, volunteers, and sponsors who have invested their time, expertise, and resources into the success of our contestants and organisation.
Special thanks to the Cayman Islands Government for its continued support of this programme and the development of our young women. To the Honourable Minister of Tourism, Gary Rutty, thank you for your longstanding support of this organisation. To the Honourable Minister for Education and Training, Rolston Anglin, thank you for championing opportunities that allow our queens to inspire and empower the next generation through the Education Ambassador Programme. To the Honourable Minister for Youth, Sports, Culture and Heritage, Isaac Rankine, thank you for supporting initiatives that celebrate and preserve our Caymanian identity. Leaders such as these help make the dreams of young Caymanian women a reality.
A special thank you to our official media partner, Star 92.7 FM. Thank you to our very loyal and supportive Radio Cayman, Everything 345, and Caymanian Times. Your commitment to highlighting the accomplishments and potential of Caymanian women helps strengthen and elevate this platform year after year.
To my hardworking committee, thank you for your unwavering dedication and countless hours of service throughout the year. What the audience sees on stage tonight is only a small reflection of the work that takes place behind the scenes. Behind every successful organisation is a committed team, and I am grateful to serve alongside such an outstanding group of individuals.
Thank you to our Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2025, Tahiti Seymour for doing a phenomenal job as our first education ambassador.
To our six beautiful contestants, congratulations on making it this far. You have each demonstrated courage, determination, and resilience throughout this journey. Regardless of tonight's outcome, you have already made your families, your districts, and your country proud. Continue to walk confidently, knowing that your value extends far beyond a title or a crown.
May God guide each of you this evening, grant you peace, confidence, and grace, and bless the journey that lies ahead.
I look forward to welcoming our Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2026, who will proudly represent the Cayman Islands on the international stage at Miss Universe this November in Puerto Rico.
God Bless.
Our theme, Starlit Shores, reflects the beauty, strength, and spirit of our Cayman Islands. It celebrates our rich culture, our heritage, our people, and the breathtaking shores that have shaped generations of Caymanians. Tonight, beneath the stars and beside the sea, we proudly embrace a new era for this prestigious national platform.
Over the past several months, our six contestants have participated in an extensive development programme designed to build confidence, leadership, communication skills, poise, and character. This journey has been about far more than preparing for a pageant, it has been about developing young women into ambassadors, role models, and future leaders for our country.
As we enter this new era, we are raising our standards, elevating expectations, and enhancing our training and development programme. Our goal is to restore and celebrate the authenticity of our national pageant while proudly showcasing Caymanian culture, values, and traditions. We are committed to ensuring that this platform continues to create opportunities that empower young women and positively impact their lives long after the crown is awarded.
Throughout the year, many of you have seen us highlight the accomplishments of our former queens through our social media birthday tributes. Their achievements speak for themselves. Many have gone on to become successful professionals, community leaders, entrepreneurs, and advocates, along with earning awards, placements, and recognition on international stages. For many of these remarkable women, this platform served as the foundation for their personal growth, confidence, and success.
