Beyond the Crown: Zero Hunger Universe Episode #4

Topics include:

▪️ How sustainable fishing supports local livelihoods

▪️ Why ocean conservation is key to Zero Hunger

▪️ The future of food from our deep seas

I enjoyed learning about the fish traceability scheme—a vital step for ensuring food security, protecting consumer trust, and strengthening the sustainable management of our oceans.

I was honoured to interview Kelly Forsythe, Blue Belt Programme Officer and marine conservationist with a background in marine systems and policies, coral reef conservation, and blue carbon management for small island developing states. With years of experience in research, education, and conservation, her expertise brings to light why developing traceability technologies matters not only for Cayman, but for communities worldwide.

From coral reefs to community empowerment, Kelly’s journey reminds us that the fight against hunger is also a fight to preserve our ecosystems.
